About Ed Beatty:

Ed Beatty (fullname: Edward Marshall Beatty Jr.; no nicknames) played Linebacker from 1955 until 1961 for the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins. He played 80 games, intercepted passes and recovered 11 fumbles. Born in Clarksdale, MS on April 6, 1932, Beatty stands 6'3 and weighs 229 lbs. He attended college at Mississippi. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1st round (10th overall) of the 1954 NFL Draft.
