Ed Albosta (full name: Edward John Albosta; Rube) played pitcher from 1941 until 1946 for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Dodgers in 1941 and Pirates in 1946. Over 2 seasons, he started 8 games, won 0 games, struck out 24 batters, and had a 6.15 ERA. Born on October 27, 1918 in Saginaw, MI, Albosta stood 6' 1" and weighed 175 lb. He attended Arthur Hill (Saginaw, MI) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on September 3, 1941 and he played his final game on September 24, 1946. Common misspellings of his name include Edward Ed eddie eddy Edward ep John Rube Albosta.
