Earl Torgeson (full name: Clifford Earl Torgeson; The Earl Of Snohomish) played first baseman from 1947 until 1961 for the Boston Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. He played for the Braves from 1947 - 1952, Phillies from 1953 - 1955, Tigers from 1955 - 1957, White Sox from 1957 - 1961 and Yankees in 1961. Over 15 seasons, he played 1668 games, hit 149 home runs, drove in 848 runs, and stole 133 bases. Born on January 1, 1924 in Snohomish, WA, Torgeson stood 6' 3" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Snohomish (Snohomish, WA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 15, 1947 and he played his final game on August 23, 1961.
