About Earl Monroe:
Earl Monroe (full name: Vernon Earl Monroe; Earl, The Pearl, Black Jesus) played Guard from 1968 until 1980 for the Baltimore Bullets and New York Knickerbockers. Over 13 seasons, he played 926 games, scored 17454 points (18.8 ppg) and grabbed 2796 rebounds (3.0 rpg). Monroe also dished out 3594 assists (3.9 apg), made 473 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 121 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 21, 1944, Monroe stands 6-3 and weighs 185 lbs. He attended high school at John Bartram in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and college at Winston-Salem State University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Bullets in the 1st round (2nd pick, 2nd overall) of the 1967 NBA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1990.
