Earl Battey (full name: Earl Jesse Battey; no nicknames) played catcher from 1955 until 1967 for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators and Minnesota Twins. He played for the White Sox from 1955 - 1959, Senators in 1960 and Twins from 1961 - 1967. Over 13 seasons, he played 1141 games, hit 104 home runs, drove in 393 runs, and stole 13 bases. Born on January 5, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA, Battey stood 6' 1" and weighed 205 lb. He attended Jordan (Watts, CA) high school.
