Doug West or Jeffrey Douglas West was born May 27, 1967 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Already retired after 10 consecutive season from the NBA. From Villanova University, the forward/guard was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the late second round on the 1989 NBA draft. The athletic and all-around player gained a starting position for the 91-92 NBA season for the Timberwolves.
He averages 14.0 points per game. He was also a participant on the Gatorade Slamdunk Championship and was given the award of Timberwolves’ Defensive Player of the year. The next season he gathered 19.3 points and in 1995 Doug broke the record of Tony Campbell record surpassed the all-time scoring leader.
After the 97-98 NBA season, he was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies for Anthony Peeler. He provided experience to the struggling young team of the Grizzlies. His playing time was limited and retired on the year 2001. He had registered a career record of 6,477 points, 1,670 rebounds, and 1,292 assists.

Doug West (full name: Jeffery Douglas West; Doug, Fresh) played Guard-Forward from 1990 until 2001 for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Vancouver Grizzlies. Over 12 seasons, he played 676 games, scored 6477 points (9.6 ppg) and grabbed 1670 rebounds (2.5 rpg). West also dished out 1292 assists (1.9 apg), made 459 steals (0.7 spg), and blocked 189 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1967, West stands 6-6 and weighs 200 lbs. He attended high school at Altoona Area in Altoona, Pennsylvania and college at Villanova University. He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2nd round (11th pick, 38th overall) of the 1989 NBA draft.
