Doug Halward (full name: Doug Halward; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1976 until 1989 for the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers. He played for the Bruins from 1976 - 1978, Kings from 1979 - 1981, Canucks from 1981 - 1987, Red Wings from 1987 - 1989 and Oilers in 1989. Over 14 seasons, he played 653 games, scored 69 goals, and made 224 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on November 1, 1955, Halward stands 6-1 and weighs 200 lbs. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft.
