Douglas (Doug) Edwards is an American former professional basketball player who played in the NBA. While playing collegiately at the Florida State University, he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1st round 15th overall pick of the 1993 NBA Draft. Other selections included

George Lynch by the Los Angeles Lakers and
Chris Mills by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played for the Hawks as well as for the Vancouver Grizzlies in 3 NBA seasons. While playing for Vancouver, he was nicknamed “Doughboy” due to his soft play on the court and supposed fondness with the local Tim Hortons doughnut chain. As of 2008, he was known to be one of the coaches at Kansas State University.

Doug Edwards (full name: Douglas Edwards; Doug) played Forward from 1994 until 1996 for the Atlanta Hawks and Vancouver Grizzlies. Over 3 seasons, he played 85 games, scored 203 points (2.4 ppg) and grabbed 153 rebounds (1.8 rpg). Edwards also dished out 60 assists (0.7 apg), made 17 steals (0.2 spg), and blocked 27 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Miami, Florida on January 21, 1971, Edwards stands 6-7 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Miami in Miami, Florida and college at Florida State University. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1st round (15th pick, 15th overall) of the 1993 NBA draft.
