Donnie Elder (fullname: Donald Eugene Elder; no nicknames) played Defensive Back from 1985 until 1991 for the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Diego Chargers. He played 82 games, made tackles, intercepted 6 passes, recovered 5 fumbles, and is credited with 1.5 quarterback sacks. Born in Chattanooga, TN on December 13, 1962, Elder stands 5'9 and weighs 175 lbs. He attended college at Memphis. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the 3rd round (67th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft.
