Don Murdoch (full name: Don Murdoch; no nicknames) played right wing from 1977 until 1982 for the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Rangers from 1977 - 1980, Oilers from 1980 - 1981 and Red Wings in 1982. Over 6 seasons, he played 320 games, scored 121 goals, and made 117 assists. Born in Cranbrook, British Columbia on October 25, 1956, Murdoch stands 5-11 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 1st round (6th overall) of the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft.
