Don Heffner (full name: Donald Henry Heffner; Jeep) played second baseman and shortstop from 1934 until 1944 for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Yankees from 1934 - 1937, Browns from 1938 - 1943, Athletics in 1943 and Tigers in 1944. Over 11 seasons, he played 743 games, hit 6 home runs, drove in 275 runs, and stole 18 bases. Born on February 8, 1911 in Rouzerville, PA, Heffner stood 5' 10" and weighed 155 lb. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute (Baltimore, MD) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 17, 1934 and he played his final game on April 29, 1944.
