Don Gutteridge (full name: Donald Joseph Gutteridge; no nicknames) played second baseman, third baseman and shortstop from 1936 until 1948 for the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Cardinals from 1936 - 1940, Browns from 1942 - 1945, Red Sox from 1946 - 1947 and Pirates in 1948. Over 12 seasons, he played 1151 games, hit 39 home runs, drove in 586 runs, and stole 95 bases. Born on June 19, 1912 in Pittsburg, KS, Gutteridge stood 5' 10" and weighed 165 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 7, 1936 and he played his final game on May 9, 1948. Common misspellings of his name include Donald dave Don donald Joseph Gutteridge.
