Don Gross (full name: Donald John Gross; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1955 until 1960 for the Cincinnati Redlegs and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Redlegs from 1955 - 1957 and Pirates from 1958 - 1960. Over 6 seasons, he started 37 games, won 20 games, struck out 230 batters, and had a 3.73 ERA. Born on June 30, 1931 in Weidman, MI, Gross stands 5' 11" and weighs 186 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on July 21, 1955 and he played his final game on May 25, 1960. Common misspellings of his name include Donald dave Don donald John Gross.
