About Don Carrithers Memorabilia & Collectibles

An excellent pitcher from Lynwood, California, Donald George Carrithers or better known as Don Carrithers was born on September 15, 1949. He was best remembered for his incredible skills and talent in the baseball league during his career period. He was able to set a record of 28-32 win-loss standing, an earned-run average of 4.45 as well as 275 strikeouts.

Don Carrithers had his start in the baseball league when he was chosen by the San Francisco Giants in the year 1970. With his great potential for the major league, he was already picked as part of the team even when he was still in high school. He had his official appearance at the age of 20 years old. The said team was currently based in San Francisco, California and is a member of the National League in the West Division. Among its roster of outstanding players include Felipe Lou, an outfielder from Dominican Republic, Rod Beck, a pitcher from Burbank, California as well as Bobby Bolin, another pitcher from Hickory Grove, South Carolina.

After his exceptional performance with the Giants, Don Carrithers was transferred to the Montreal Expos in 1974. He stayed with this group for two years, contributing much to the team’s successful career in the league. However, due to a series of injuries, his performance was very much limited. Later on, he was then traded to the Minnesota Twins in the 1977 with which he had his last MLB appearance.
