Don Buford (full name: Don Alvin Buford; no nicknames) played leftfielder, second baseman and third baseman from 1963 until 1972 for the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles. He played for the White Sox from 1963 - 1967 and Orioles from 1968 - 1972. Over 10 seasons, he played 1286 games, hit 93 home runs, drove in 718 runs, and stole 200 bases. Born on February 2, 1937 in Linden, TX, Buford stands 5' 7" and weighs 160 lb. He attended Dorsey (Los Angeles, CA) high school. His debut was on September 14, 1963 and he played his final game on October 3, 1972. Over his career, Buford made $102,000. Common misspellings of his name include Donald Alvin dave Don donald Buford.
