About Don August Memorabilia & Collectibles

A baseball pitcher from Inglewood, California, Donald Glenn August is a player of the Milwaukee Brewers. He studied in Chapman University and competed in the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984 where he was drafted by the Houston Astros. He started his career as a professional baseball player in 1988 when he got drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. In 1989, he suffered from sophomore jinx . The winning moment of August’s baseball career was in the inaugural game of the MLB in Toronto’s Skydome now called the Rogers Centre where he was a winning pitcher in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays.  Don August has registered a 34-30 win-loss record, 4.64 earned run average and 181 strikeouts.  He was last seen with the Milwaukee Brewers on the 1st of October 1991. Today he is currently teaching in Winsconsin’s Menomonee Falls high school.
 
Some of the honors he has received in his baseball career were being in the 4th in voting for the Rookie of the Year in 1988. As competitor of the United States in the men’s baseball division, he got a silver medal in the Los Angeles Summer Olympics.

Over 4 seasons, he started 70 games, won 34 games, struck out 181 batters, and had a 4.64 ERA. Born on July 3, 1963 in Inglewood, CA, August stands 6' 3" and weighs 190 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 1st round (17th pick) of the 1984 amateur draft. His debut was on June 2, 1988 and he played his final game on October 1, 1991. Over his career, August made $232,500. Common misspellings of his name include Donald dave Don donald Glenn August.
