Dolph Schayes (full name: Adolph Schayes; Dolph) played Forward-Center from 1950 until 1964 for the Syracuse Nationals and Philadelphia 76ers. Over 15 seasons, he played 996 games, scored 18438 points (18.5 ppg) and grabbed 11256 rebounds (11.3 rpg). Schayes also dished out 3072 assists (3.1 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in New York, New York on May 19, 1928, Schayes stands 6-7 and weighs 195 lbs. He attended high school at DeWitt Clinton in Bronx, New York and college at New York University. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 1st round (4th pick, 4th overall) of the 1948 BAA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1973.
