Dock Ellis (full name: Dock Phillip Ellis; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1968 until 1979 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers and New York Mets. He played for the Pirates from 1968 - 1979, Yankees from 1976 - 1977, Athletics in 1977, Rangers from 1977 - 1979 and Mets in 1979.
