Dixie Walker (full name: Fred Walker; The Peoples Cherce) played outfielder from 1931 until 1949 for the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Yankees from 1931 - 1936, White Sox from 1936 - 1937, Tigers from 1938 - 1939, Dodgers from 1939 - 1947 and Pirates from 1948 - 1949.
