About Dick McGuire:
Dick McGuire (full name: Richard Joseph McGuire; Dick, Tricky Dick, Dick the Knick) played Guard from 1950 until 1960 for the New York Knickerbockers and Detroit Pistons. Over 11 seasons, he played 738 games, scored 5921 points (8.0 ppg) and grabbed 2784 rebounds (3.8 rpg). McGuire also dished out 4205 assists (5.7 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Huntington, New York on January 25, 1926, McGuire stands 6-0 and weighs 180 lbs. He attended high school at LaSalle Academy in New York, New York and college at St. John's University. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 1st round (7th pick, 7th overall) of the 1949 BAA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1993.
