Former American football player and actor, Dick Butkus was born on December 9, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He was well-known for his punishing tackles.
Butkus had played center and linebacker in the years 1962 to 1964. He had won the Chicago Tribune Silver Football in 1963 being the Big Ten Most Valuable Player and he was also hailed as the American Football Coaches Association Player of the Year in 1964.
