Derek Strong (full name: Derek Lamar Strong; no nicknames) played Forward from 1992 until 2001 for the Washington Bullets, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers. Over 10 seasons, he played 456 games, scored 3088 points (6.8 ppg) and grabbed 2213 rebounds (4.9 rpg). Strong also dished out 291 assists (0.6 apg), made 203 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 94 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Los Angeles, California on February 9, 1968, Strong stands 6-8 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Pacific Palisades in Pacific Palisades, California and college at Xavier University. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round (20th pick, 47th overall) of the 1990 NBA draft.
