Del Wilber (full name: Delbert Quentin Wilber; Babe) played catcher from 1946 until 1954 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Cardinals from 1946 - 1949, Phillies in 1951 and Red Sox from 1952 - 1954. Over 8 seasons, he played 299 games, hit 19 home runs, drove in 67 runs, and stole 1 bases. Born on February 24, 1919 in Lincoln Park, MI (All Transactions), Wilber stood 6' 3" and weighed 200 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 21, 1946 and he played his final game on September 19, 1954. Common misspellings of his name include Delbert Babe Del Quentin Wilber.
