Del Rice (full name: Delbert W. Rice; no nicknames) played catcher from 1945 until 1961 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Braves, Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels. He played for the Cardinals from 1945 - 1960, Braves from 1955 - 1959, Cubs in 1960, Orioles in 1960 and Angels in 1961. Over 17 seasons, he played 1309 games, hit 79 home runs, drove in 342 runs, and stole 2 bases. Born on October 27, 1922 in Portsmouth, OH, Rice stood 6' 2" and weighed 190 lb.
