About Dean Talafous:
Dean Talafous (full name: Dean Talafous; no nicknames) played right wing from 1975 until 1982 for the Atlanta Flames, Minnesota North Stars and New York Rangers. He played for the Flames in 1975, North Stars from 1975 - 1978 and Rangers from 1979 - 1982. Over 8 seasons, he played 497 games, scored 104 goals, and made 154 assists. Born in Duluth, Minnesota on August 25, 1953, Talafous stands 6-4 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the 4th round (53rd overall) of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. Talafous officially announced retirement on December 30, 1981.
