About Deacon Jones:
Deacon Jones (fullname: David D. Jones; no nicknames) played from 1961 until 1974 for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins. He played 191 games, starting 52 of those. Born in Eatonville, FL on December 9, 1938, Jones stands 6'5 and weighs 272 lbs. He attended college at Miss. Valley State, South Carolina State. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 14th round (186th overall) of the 1961 NFL Draft. Jones was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980.
