Dazzy Vance (full name: Charles Arthur Vance; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1932 until 1935 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Dodgers from 1932 - 1935, Cardinals from 1933 - 1934 and Reds in 1934. Over 16 seasons, he started 349 games, won 197 games, struck out 2045 batters, and had a 3.24 ERA. Born on March 4, 1891 in Orient, IA, Vance stood 6' 2" and weighed 200 lb. He attended Hardy (Hardy, NE) (All Transactions) high school.
