Dave Rucker (full name: David Michael Rucker; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1981 until 1988 for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Tigers from 1981 - 1983, Cardinals from 1983 - 1984, Phillies from 1985 - 1986 and Pirates in 1988. Over 7 seasons, he started 10 games, won 16 games, struck out 170 batters, and had a 3.94 ERA. Born on September 1, 1957 in San Bernardino, CA, Rucker stands 6' 1" and weighs 185 lb. He attended Eisenhower (Rialto, CA) high school and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 16th round of the 1978 amateur draft. His debut was on April 12, 1981 and he played his final game on October 2, 1988. Over his career, Rucker made $220,000. Common misspellings of his name include David Dave davey david Michael Rucker.
