Dave Roberts is a former professional baseball player who hails from Okinawa, Japan. He went to Rancho Buena Vista High School where he spent his high school baseball career and also starred as a basketball and football athlete. He played collegiately at University of California, Los Angeles and after a very successful college career, he joined the Cleveland Indians in the Major League Baseball. After his stint with the Indians, he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2002 to 2004 and signed with the Boston Red Sox after his stint with the team. From 2005 to 2006, he played for the San Diego Padres and also became part of the San Francisco Giants in 2007 to 2008.He is famously known for his great contributions for the Boston Red Sox team especially in the Game 4 of the American League Championship Series in 2004.
His final game in the Major League Baseball was on September 27, 2008 for the San Francisco Giants. He ended his major league career with .266 batting average and 243 stolen bases with 23 home runs and 213 runs batted in. After his professional baseball career, he worked as a broadcaster for the NESN.
