Darryl Sydor (full name: Darryl Sydor; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1992 until 2010 for the Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues. He played for the Kings from 1992 - 1996, Stars from 1996 - 2009, Blue Jackets in 2004, Lightning from 2004 - 2006, Penguins from 2008 - 2009 and Blues in 2010. Over 18 seasons, he played 1291 games, scored 98 goals, and made 409 assists. Born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 13, 1972, Sydor stands 6-1 and weighs 211 lbs. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1st round (7th overall) of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Sydor officially announced retirement on July 13, 2010.
