Darryl Shannon (full name: Darryl Shannon; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1989 until 2001 for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, Atlanta Thrashers, Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens. He played for the Leafs from 1989 - 1993, Jets from 1994 - 1996, Sabres from 1996 - 1999, Thrashers in 2000, Flames in 2000 and Canadies in 2001. Over 13 seasons, he played 544 games, scored 28 goals, and made 111 assists. Born in Barrie, Ontario on June 21, 1968, Shannon stands 6-2 and weighs 208 lbs. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2nd round (36th overall) of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.
