Darryl Dawkins (full name: Darryl Dawkins; Chocolate Thunder, Double D) played Center from 1976 until 1989 for the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons. Over 14 seasons, he played 726 games, scored 8733 points (12.0 ppg) and grabbed 4432 rebounds (6.1 rpg). Dawkins also dished out 917 assists (1.3 apg), made 345 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 1023 shots (1.4 bpg) during his career. Born in Orlando, Florida on January 11, 1957, Dawkins stands 6-11 and weighs 251 lbs. He attended high school at Maynard Evans in Orlando, Florida. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1st round (5th pick, 5th overall) of the 1975 NBA draft.
