Darrel Chaney (full name: Darrel Lee Chaney; no nicknames) played shortstop, second baseman and third baseman from 1969 until 1979 for the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves. He played for the Reds from 1969 - 1975 and Braves from 1976 - 1979. Over 11 seasons, he played 915 games, hit 14 home runs, drove in 237 runs, and stole 19 bases. Born on March 9, 1948 in Hammond, IN, Chaney stands 6' 2" and weighs 188 lb. He attended Morton (Hammond, IN) high school and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round of the 1966 amateur draft.
