Darcy Rota (full name: Darcy Rota; no nicknames) played left wing from 1974 until 1984 for the Chicago Black Hawks, Atlanta Flames and Vancouver Canucks. He played for the Black Hawks from 1974 - 1979, Flames from 1979 - 1980 and Canucks from 1980 - 1984. Over 11 seasons, he played 794 games, scored 256 goals, and made 239 assists. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia on February 16, 1953, Rota stands 5-11 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1st round (13th overall) of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. Rota officially announced retirement on December 4, 1984.
