Dana Murzyn (full name: Dana Murzyn; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1986 until 1999 for the Hartford Whalers, Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. He played for the Whalers from 1986 - 1988, Flames from 1988 - 1991 and Canucks from 1991 - 1999. Over 14 seasons, he played 838 games, scored 52 goals, and made 152 assists. Born in Calgary, Alberta on December 9, 1966, Murzyn stands 6-2 and weighs 200 lbs. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1st round (5th overall) of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.
