Dan Issel (full name: Daniel Paul Issel; Dan, Horse) played Center-Forward from 1971 until 1985 for the Kentucky Colonels and Denver Nuggets. Over 15 seasons, he played 1218 games, scored 27482 points (22.6 ppg) and grabbed 11133 rebounds (9.1 rpg). Issel also dished out 2907 assists (2.4 apg), made 943 steals (0.8 spg), and blocked 532 shots (0.4 bpg) during his career. Born in Batavia, Illinois on October 25, 1948, Issel stands 6-9 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at Batavia in Batavia, Illinois and college at University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 8th round (3rd pick, 122nd overall) of the 1970 NBA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1993.
