About Curt Fraser Memorabilia & Collectibles

Curtis Martin Fraser was born in January 12, 1958 at Cincinnati, Ohio. He was previously an ice hockey player with dual citizenship, American and Canadian. He was able to play for Canada during the 1978 World Junior Championship and also for the USA during the 1987 Canada Cup. Right now, he is the head coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins, the American Hockey League farm team of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings. His father was also a known player for the International Hockey League's Cincinnati Mohawks. While growing up in Cincinnati, he was also raised up in Winnipeg and Vancouver, Canada. Fraser was diagnosed with diabetes in the year of 1983 that is why he is so active in fundraising and increasing awareness of the disease.

Sources say Fraser was also part of the junior hockey team Victoria Cougars of the Western Hockey League, and established franchise records for assists, goals, penalty minutes and points. In 1878, the team Vancouver Canucks drafted him during the NHL Amateur Draft. He made it with the team along with the rookies Thomas Gradin and Stan Smyl. The three of them became the team's asset as the offensive line within four years and then eventually paved the way for winning the 1982 Stanley Cup Finals.

Later in the year of 1982 Fraser was traded for Tony Tanti in the Chicago Black Hawks. He then transferred to the team Minnesota North Stars and was under Dirk Graham. He played with this team over 53 games in two years and a half. In 1990, his back problems worsened which pushed him to officially retire. His retirement does not mean that fans and supporters would easily forget this persona; sportsmemorabilia.com has various items that they can keep with them like autographed NHL pucks, autographed NHL jerseys and autographed NHL photos.
