American Major League Baseball player, Curt Schilling is a right-handed starting pitcher of the Boston Red Sox. He was born on November 14, 1966 in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and had studied at Shadow Mountain High School.

           

When he was in college, Schilling studied at the Yavapai Junior College in Prescott, Arizona where he led his baseball team to the 1985 JUCO World Series. Schilling had spent one year with the Houston Astros in 1991 and spent more than eight seasons with Philadelphia Phillies in 1992-2000. He won the NLCS Most Valuable Player Award in 1993. It was in 2000 when he was traded to the Diamondbacks where he recorded 22-6 with 2.98 ERA in 2001. Schilling had shared the 2001 World Series Most Valuable Player Award with his teammate Randy Johnson. Together, they shared Sports Illustrated magazine’s 2001 “Sportsmen of the Year” award leading to the recognition of the Curt Schilling signed MLB baseball.

           

It was in November 2003 when Schilling was traded to the Boston Red Sox. He had won his 20th game of the season for the Red Sox where he became the fifth Boston pitcher to grab 20 or more games during his first season with the team and made the Curt Schilling signed MLB baseball a cool item to have. On October 19, 2004, he won Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship.
