Cristian Antonio Guzman is a baseball shortstop who was born on March 21, 1978 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He was first included to the Minnesota Twins after playing for the New York Yankees in 1998. He was an All-Star American League selection in 2001 where he made remarkable performances giving him a batting average of .302 and a record of 10 home runs. From 2002-2004, their team won titles at the American League Central. In 2000, he was the top player with most number of triples in the American League with 20 and made 14 triples in 2001.
