A good football player from Troy, Ohio, Cris Carter had played wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was born on November 25, 1965 and had also played for the Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins.
He had studied in the Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio and he pursued his college days at the Ohio State University. There, he was drafted by the Eagles during the fourth round of the 1987 National Football League supplemental draft. After that, he was signed by the Vikings where he became a 4 time all pro and had played in 8 straight Pro Bowls. It was in 1991 when he stepped forward as Minnesota’s top pass catcher. Carter had led the team with 72 receptions, 962 yards, and 5 TDs. In 1995, he teamed up with Moon to post his best statistical season. He caught a total of 122 passes for a high 1,371 yards and had led the National Football League with 17 TD receptions. After leaving the Vikings in 2001, Carter held most of the team’s career receiving award. In 2002, he played for the Dolphins.
Carter was very famous for great hands, running precise routes, and acrobatic leaps. He also has an extraordinary body control and footwork when he’s making catches near the sidelines. He is currently among the hosts of HBO’s Inside the National Football League and the NFL Analyst for Yahoo Sports. Carter is also a faculty member and coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
