Craig Hansen was born on November 15, 1983 in a small city called Glen Clove in New York. He was first drafted in the year 2005 and speedily made his way to the major league. He stands six foot and five inches tall and he was reported to run in as fast as ninety seven to ninety eight miles per hour.
His professional career began in the Major League Baseball Draft that was held on 2005. The team that selected him was the Boston Red Sox and he immediately signed a deal for four years that amounts to $4 million. Craig Hansen joined the Boston Red Sox in the late season and his first game with them was on September 19 in the game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
In the year 2006, Hansen was recalled by the Red Sox. June 6th of the same year, he earned his first win in the major league in a game opposing the Philadelphia Phillies. Following the season for the same year, he later enrolled himself in a sleeping clinic after receiving complaints from his roommates concerning his loud snoring.
In 2008, he moved out of the Sox and transferred to the Indianapolis Indians. Later that year, he was also recalled by the Pirates.
