Connie Ryan (full name: Cornelius Joseph Ryan; no nicknames) played second baseman and third baseman from 1942 until 1954 for the New York Giants, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Redlegs. He played for the Giants in 1942, Braves from 1943 - 1950, Reds from 1950 - 1951, Phillies from 1952 - 1953, White Sox in 1953 and Redlegs in 1954. Over 12 seasons, he played 1184 games, hit 56 home runs, drove in 535 runs, and stole 69 bases. Born on February 27, 1920 in New Orleans, LA, Ryan stood 5' 11" and weighed 175 lb. He attended Jesuit (New Orleans, LA) high school. His debut was on April 14, 1942 and he played his final game on April 19, 1954.
