Cliff Robinson is a retired American professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association. He played as forward for several teams in the league; the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors and the New Jersey Nets. Robinson hails from Buffalo, New York. He attended college at the University of Connecticut where he was remarkable for playing collegiately in the said university.
At 6 ft. 10 in. and 225 lbs. Robinson began his professional basketball career after being drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1989 NBA Draft where he was the second round pick of the team. Robinson played with Portland for eight seasons and helped Portland reach the NBA finals two times in 1990 and 1992. One of Robinson’s career highlights with the Trail Blazers was winning the 1992-93 Sixth Man of the Award. On August 1997, Robinson signed as free agent with the Phoenix Suns where he stayed for four seasons. Robinson’s career highlight with the Suns was in January 2000, by registering his career-best fifty points versus the Denver Nuggets. After his four season stay with the Suns, he was dealt to the Detroit Pistons in 2001 for John Wallace. After two years with the Pistons, Robinson was traded in 2003 for Bob Sura of the Golden State Warriors. And on February 2005, Robinson was dealt to the New Jersey Nets and was then released on July 2007.

Cliff Robinson (full name: Clifford Trent Robinson; Cliff) played Forward from 1980 until 1992 for the New Jersey Nets, Kansas City Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, Washington Bullets, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers. Over 11 seasons, he played 629 games, scored 10823 points (17.2 ppg) and grabbed 5237 rebounds (8.3 rpg). Robinson also dished out 1249 assists (2.0 apg), made 655 steals (1.0 spg), and blocked 441 shots (0.7 bpg) during his career. Born in Oakland, California on March 13, 1960, Robinson stands 6-9 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Castlemont in Oakland, California and college at University of Southern California. He was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the 1st round (11th pick, 11th overall) of the 1979 NBA draft.
