Claude Vilgrain is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and was raised in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Vilgrain played as right wing for three teams in the National Football League during his entire pro ice hockey career; the Vancouver Canucks, New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers. All in all he participated in over 89 games in the National Hockey League.
Vilgrain stands 6 ft. 1 in. and weighs in at 205 lbs. and takes shots using his left. Vilgrain entered the world of professional ice hockey after he was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings of the Central Division of the Western Conference during the 1982 National Hockey League Draft. However, after a three year stretch at the University of Moncton, and a multi year appearance with the Canadian National Team that included the 1988 Olympics wore out the patience out of the Red Wings causing Vilgrain his release from the team. He was, however, acquired by the Vancouver Canucks in the same year. Vilgrain joined the Canucks right after the Olympics. However, he failed to make the Vancouver roster the following year and he was assigned to Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. And on August 1993 he signed as free agent with the Philadelphia Flyers where he played until 2002.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on March 1, 1963, Vilgrain stands 6-1 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 6th round (107th overall) of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.
