His collegiate basketball days were spent with the University of Southern Mississippi. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 1992 NBA Draft as the ninth pick overall. He had an average of 11.5 points per game for his entire career. His nick name is “Baby Barkley” which was given to him early in his professional career because he had the same aggressive playing style to that of Charles Barkley. Aside from the 76ers, he played for the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, and the Houston Rockets throughout a 13- year career. He recorded a 45 double- doubles in the 1993 to 1994 season, the 7th highest in NBA history. He also joined the 1993 Slam Dunk competition and finished with an overall score of 92, second only to Harold Miner. He also has a record of playing in 605 out of a possible 620 regular season games. According to the official NBA website, he has 3.1 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 0.4 assists per game in the 2004- 2005 season.
