Clarence Chester Childs is an outstanding football player from Wooster, Ohio. He is known to be a great athlete in many fields not just in football but also in other sports. He is well-remembered to be an excellent captain of the team in Yale playing for a track event. He had also been into numerous prestigious events occasions such as the Summer Olympics in 1912 which was conducted in Stockholm, Sweden. He was sent as a representative of the United States. With an amazing performance, he was able to grab the bronze medal. Another player who is known for being such is Dick Anderson.
 
Aside from his incredible legacy as a player, Clarence Childs had also established his name in many fields for being an exceptional coach. He led the Indiana University for almost two years since the year 1914. He was also noticed in other events namely wrestling and also hammers throwing. Some names which are very much famous in the field of wrestling include Hulk Hogan, who has a number of ring names like “The Super Destroyer” and “Sterling Golden”, as well as Iron Sheik, who is also known as the Great Hussein Arab in the ring.

Clarence Childs (fullname: Clarence Norris Childs; no nicknames) played Defensive Back from 1964 until 1968 for the New York Giants and Chicago Bears. He played 59 games, intercepted 2 passes and recovered 9 fumbles. Born in Lakeland, FL on January 13, 1938, Childs stands 5'11 and weighs 186 lbs. He attended college at Florida A&M. He was drafted by the Boston Patriots in the 20th round (154th overall) of the 1961 AFL Draft.
