Also know as Cindy Rarick, Cindy Flom is a professional golfer who started competing in the 1980’s. She currently has six tour wins under her belt. Flom was born in Glenwood, Minnesota on September 12, 1959. In 1877, Flom won her junior golf competition and became the Arizona State Junior champion. She elected to go to the University of Hawaii for college. While in college, she was able to clinch the Hawaii’s Women’s Match Play Championship in 1978. She didn’t rest her laurels and went on to win the Hawaii Stroke Play Championship in 1979.
Flom started playing professionally in the year 1985 when she joined the LPGA Tour. However, it would be two years from then, in 1987, when she would win her first tournament. 1987 became Flom’s breakout year not just because she won her first tournament but because she was also awarded the Gatorade Most Improved Player Award.
In 1990, Flom was able to rank 10th in the money list and then 11th in 1987 and 1989.
