About Chris Wilcox Memorabilia & Collectibles

Chris Wilcox is an American pro basketball player and is currently playing as forward and center for the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association and previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle SuperSonics, Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks. He hails from Raleigh, North Carolina and took his college education when he attended the University of Maryland where he also played basketball collegiately and helped the Terrapins win their first NCAA championship in 2002.

 

He started his career as a pro basketball athlete in the NBA after he was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft. Wilcox played for five seasons with the Clippers until the 2006 seasons. And during those five seasons, Wilcox averaged nine points and almost six rebounds in every game. After the 2006 seasons, Wilcox was then dealt to the Seattle Supersonics and played with the team until the 2009 seasons before joining the New York Knicks.

 

Wilcox improved his game during the 2006 season with the SuperSonics averaging fourteen points and eight rebounds in every game. He was also able to start in 23 out of 29 games that he played. IDuring the later part of the 2008-09 seasons, Wilcox was dealt to the Knicks in exchange for Malik Rose on February 2009, after which Wilcox became a free agent at the end of the season. However, five months after, on July 2009, Wilcox signed with the Detroit Pistons.

Wilcox also dished out 378 assists (0.8 apg), made 250 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 192 shots (0.4 bpg). Born in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 3, 1982, Wilcox stands 6-10 and weighs 221 lbs. He attended high school at Enloe in Raleigh, North Carolina and college at University of Maryland. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1st round (8th pick, 8th overall) of the 2002 NBA draft.
