 Chris Porter is a former National Basketball Association player who hails from Abbeville, Alabama. He is a former star player in the Auburn University where he became a multi-awarded athlete. He was part of the team that made it to the NCAA in the 1998 to 1999 seasons. He was also included to the All-America team and was awarded as the SEC Player of the Year. He showcased great skills while at the said university which made him recognized by the Sports Illustrated magazine.

His equally remarkable professional career commenced in the 2000 season. He was selected by the Golden State Warriors as a 26th pick in the National Basketball Association draft. He appeared in 51 games for the Warriors and posted an average of 8.6 points per game and made 3.7 rebounds. After his celebrated stint with the Warriors, he then signed with the Charlotte Hornets, but never appeared in any game for the team. After he left the National Basketball Association, he went to play in the Continental Basketball Association and also made brief stints in the Euroleague and the Portuguese Basketball League. He also appeared in the FIBA EuroCup Challenge and the Philippine Basketball Association as an import player. At present, he is a player in the Chinese Basketball Association. He immediately became well-loved by the fans because of his superb playing skills.
