Chris Hope, a professional football player, was born on September 29, 1980 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He plays as a free safety in the National Football League. He was a high school defensive back at Rock Hill High School where he recorded 114 tackles and 1, 319 rushing yards. He set a school record for his 55 games started and was the No. 1 defensive back prospect by the Prep Star. Tampa Tribune also ranked him as the top defensive recruit. He went to Florida State University where he played as a free safety and posted a record of 34 tackles, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble as a freshman. As a junior, he had 83 tackles and had 76 for his senior year.
Chris began playing professionally in 2002 for the National Football League team Pittsburgh Pirates. He was drafted by the Pirates in the third round of the 2002 NFL Entry draft and spent his first rookie season on special teams. According to many reviews, he was an important factor for the Pirates’ win in the Super Bowl XL. After spending his first few seasons in NFL with the Pirates, he signed with the Tennessee Titans where he recorded five interceptions and 128 tackles, leading the team for that season. He obtained a spinal cord injury in 2007 and had to undergo a surgery. He participated the Titans minicamp after recovering from the surgery.
